Rocket City Marathon Weekend
The Rocket City Marathon weekend takes place December 12–14, 2025 in Huntsville, Alabama, organized by the Huntsville Track Club. The weekend includes a Health & Fitness Expo and packet pickup that run from Friday, December 12 through Saturday, December 13. The main event returns to the Von Braun Center area at 700 Monroe Street SW, Huntsville, AL 35801.
The marathon course passes through Downtown, Old Town, the Medical District, Blossomwood, Maple Hill Cemetery, the historic Train Depot, the Veteran's Memorial, Campus 805, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and the Botanical Gardens before finishing back at the Von Braun Center with an indoor finish. All registered runners receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race food. Marathon and half marathon finishers receive a special finisher gift. The weekend includes in-person and virtual options and typically attracts more than 4,000 runners.
