Event overview
Mardi Gras Madness - Dallas is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Bachman Lake Park, 3500 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220. The race is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and is presented with a Mardi Gras theme, including beads, music, on-course festivities, and a Race Rally Tent with a DJ and finish-line announcements. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event. The event proceeds rain or shine. Course surfaces are typically parks and greenbelts, mostly paved trails with possible sections of crushed granite or dirt.
Race events, awards, and volunteer options
- Kids Dash - ~50 meters, for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - open to all ages, not chip timed
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer before running; includes bib, shirt, and finisher medal
- Virtual Run
All participants receive a finisher medal and race tee. Youth pricing applies for ages 12 and under for the 5K and 10K. Age group awards are given for 5K and 10K with overall and masters recognitions and 1st–3rd pins by standard age groups. Awards are presented live as runners finish. There is a pre-race costume contest judged by audience cheers; the winner becomes the event Grand Marshal. Volunteer roles and incentives are detailed, including a limited Volunteer then Run option.
