Run Caney takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 194 Caney Lake Parks Road, Minden, LA 71055. The event offers multiple loop distances around Upper Caney Lake near Minden in the Kisatchie National Forest.

Course, logistics and awards
The course runs through slight hills and oak flats. The trail is described as not very hilly, not very rocky, and not heavily root laden. The race is presented as an "Old School Style" trail run around Upper Caney Lake.
Packet pick up is available at Run Wild in Shreveport on the Thursday and Friday before the race, and also on race morning at the race location. There is a shirt deadline of 12/1/25; registrations after that date may not receive a shirt. The organizer has covered the usual $5 day use fee for the site.
A running clock will be at the finish. Finishers receive a numbered index card and write their name and time on the card. Overall male and female winners in each race will receive an award. Age group winners receive a home-made ornament. If a participant does not attend, the organizer will not hold a shirt for them. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
