Event overview
The 5K Run for Homies with Bonus Chromies takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Ridley Creek State Park, Picnic Area / Pavilion #11, 1023 Sycamore Mills Road, Media, PA 19063. The event is the fifth annual edition and benefits the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group (DSIG), a 501(c) nonprofit formed in 1990 that promotes awareness and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome. The course is USATF certified.

Entry fees listed on the event page are $25 for the 5K, $20 for the 1 mile walk, and $25 for the virtual 5K. The 5K entry fee increases after November 30, 2025. Virtual registration closes April 11, 2026; on-site registration and packet pickup are available on race day.
Logistics and additional information
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers with cash prizes of $150, $75, and $50 for first through third places. Participants receive a T-shirt; shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations after October 1, 2023. Free parking is available at Pavilion 11A and 11B. The race will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co., and photos and videography will be provided by event photographers.
Planned health and safety measures include a cap of 200 runners, social distancing, required face coverings when handling bibs, swag, food, or awards, rolling start times, awards based on chip time, and masked volunteers.
