Event overview
The RUN FOR PIE 2025 takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025 in Soquel, CA at 401 Soquel San Jose Rd, 95073. The event includes the following races:
- 5K
- 1/2 mile Kids Race
- Pie Mile / Relay (teams of four)
All participants receive a slice of pumpkin pie at the finish. The event benefits Second Harvest Food Bank and the Soquel High School Track Team. Organizers state that proceeds from the Kids 1/2 Mile will go to Second Harvest and they hope to donate over 12,000 meals. Registration for the event is capped.
Logistics and extras
Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Aptos on Tuesday, November 25 (afternoon/evening) and Wednesday, November 26 (daytime), and there is race-morning pickup at Soquel High School. A t-shirt can be purchased during registration for $5. Published pricing shows a base price change from $45 (through November 26) to $55 (November 27-28); processing fees are added to displayed prices.
Races will be professionally chip timed. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners of the 5K and to top age-group winners in these ranges: 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81-90. The winning Pie Mile Relay team will receive a prize for each team member. The first 400 participants will receive a free cup of coffee; there is also a kids coloring station and a free photo booth.
