About the race
Run For Rangers is a multi-event running weekend in Dahlonega, Georgia, centered around Hancock Park and Camp Merrill. The lineup includes a 5K and 10K on Sunday, plus a Mountain Challenge option that pairs either the 5K or 10K with the Half Marathon, and a Half Marathon (Mountain Marathon) run on Saturday along forestry roads used by U.S. Army Rangers.
The Half starts and finishes at Camp Merrill’s airfield and is mostly off-pavement on service roads near the Appalachian Trail, featuring two challenging hills. The event attracts active Rangers and honors Veterans Day with downtown festivities, a parade, food and beverages, and awards across age groups, with ample parking and safety practices.
