Run for Rangers
Run For Rangers is a two-day running event held in Dahlonega, Georgia, featuring a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and combined Ranger Challenge races. The 5K and 10K take place at Hancock Park, coinciding with Veterans Day festivities including a parade, kids' play area, and an all-day music festival with food and beverages. The Half Marathon, known as the Mountain Marathon, is held at Camp Merrill and follows forestry roads used by US Rangers for training, winding through the Appalachian Mountains near the Appalachian Trail.
The challenging course includes two steep hills and finishes on the Camp Merrill airfield. Awards are given across multiple age and gender categories, with special plaques for top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
