About the race
Durham, North Carolina hosts the 11th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k on the scenic American Tobacco Trail. The out-and-back course starts and finishes on a grassy knoll by Haverty’s at 8160 Renaissance Parkway and runs north on the ATT, crossing I-40 before turning around near the Crooked Creek Trailhead; the route is USATF-certified. The terrain features a gradual early hill, then mostly flat sections with a downhill finish.
The family-friendly event includes a DJ, kids activities, a 50‑meter dash for ages 2–8, and a silent auction, plus an ostomy pouch for awareness. Proceeds benefit United Ostomy Associations of America. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
