The Run for the Kids Challenge 2026 is a three-race series in Melbourne, FL (32935), held on January 24, February 21, and February 28, 2026. The series consists of three 5K races, totaling 15K for the three-race challenge: Tooth Trot 5K (January 24), Brevard PALS 5K Run/Walk for Autism Awareness (February 21), and Brianna Marie Foundation 5K (February 28). Proceeds will benefit three Brevard-based organizations that provide funding, resources, and other assistance for children and families.
Medals are awarded to all race series registrants, with special awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd combined three-race times in male and female categories. A virtual run/walk option is available; virtual series registrants will be mailed the Series Finisher Medal at the end of March. Race management and timing services are provided by Running Zone Race Management.
Registration and logistics
The event offers four registration options: Adult Individual (ages 18+), Child Individual (ages 17 and under), Adult Virtual (ages 18+), and Child Virtual (ages 17 and under). Listed prices are $80 for adult entries (previously $90) and $65 for child entries (previously $75). Each listed event shows 120 spots remaining and registration closes January 22, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.
