Run for the Rose - Petersburg

The Run for the Rose is a scenic 5K run/walk event taking place at the historic New Salem State Park in Petersburg, Illinois. Scheduled for April 19, 2025, the race starts and finishes at West of Wise Winery, known for its award-winning wines. Participants can enjoy a mix of roads and trails along the picturesque Sangamon River.

Registration includes a chip-timed race, wine tasting tickets, and a commemorative wine glass. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each age division. The event will proceed rain or shine.
