Event overview
Run for Your Life is a 7th Annual Color Fun Run presented by the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition. The event takes place on September 28, 2025, at 874 SE 4 St, Gainesville, FL 32601. The activity is a 5K fun run/walk with six color powder stations on the course. Times will not be recorded; participants may bring their own tracking devices to record personal times.
Program and logistics
The event opens with breakfast for participants, an F45 fitness instructor warm-up, and a Narcan demonstration by UF Health Florida Recovery Center. A community fair will offer resources from local organizations and health screenings provided by UF HealthStreet. There will be raffle prizes including gift baskets and gift cards from local businesses. The event includes a medication takeback via Rx Destroyer; all medications except sharps and inhalers are accepted. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult or parent. Shirt sizes cannot be exchanged at pickup, some sizes were noted as limited close to the event. Registration offers early bird pricing through August 31 and a group discount of 10% for groups of four or more.
