The RUN ROCKAWAY BEACH FIRECRACKER takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Far Rockaway, NY at Beach 94th Street on the boardwalk. The event offers the following distances:

Half Marathon
5K

Registration fees listed are $69.90 (includes $4.90 fee) for the half marathon and $48.70 (includes $3.70 fee) for the 5K. Prices increase after March 12, 2026. Day-of-race registration is available. The event provides a T-shirt, a medal, and snacks.

Course and logistics

Both the half marathon and the 5K start and finish on Beach 94th on the boardwalk. The half marathon is run as two loops: from Beach 94th west to a U-turn at Beach 124th, east to a U-turn at 54th Street, then back to Beach 94th and repeat. The 5K is an out-and-back course from Beach 94th west to Beach 124th and return. The boardwalk course is flat with ocean views along the route. There are at least four water stops for each loop of the half marathon. Public parking is available in the lot on Beach 94th. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
