About the race
Run the Maple 5K is a charity running event held in Park City, Kentucky, at The Maple Retreat. It’s promoted as Kentucky’s Hardest 5K and runs as a two-day weekend, beginning with the Power-Up Pasta Party (Sept 26) that features dinner, a superhero costume contest, silent auction, and packet pickup. Race day centers on the 5K Run (Sept 27) with accompanying events such as a 3K Walk and Kids Run.
All proceeds support TFP (Trifunctional Protein Deficiency) research at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, helping Sawyer’s cause. Attendees are invited to dress as superheroes for the occasion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
