Run the Mission: Race to End Tuberculosis
The Volunteer Services Council of the Texas Center for Infectious Disease organizes the Run the Mission: Race to End Tuberculosis on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at Greenline Park at Brooks, 2532 Sidney Brooks, 78235. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The VSC states its mission is to improve quality of life for patients with tuberculosis and Hansen's disease and to support staff through partnerships, advocacy, and community resources.
Logistics, timing and awards
Entry fees vary by registration period: 8/28–9/8: $30; 9/9–10/16: $35; day-of race: $40. Online registration closes on October 17; in-person registration will be available on race day. Event shirts are limited; registration by September 28 guarantees a shirt. Early packet pick-up is available on October 17 at the Texas Center for Infectious Disease, 2303 Military Drive, San Antonio, 78233, and packets are also available on race morning.
The event will be timed and scored by RaceTimerz, LLC using reusable RFID shoe tags. Participants must wear their bib on the front, pinned at all four corners, visible and unaltered. A course map is available as a PDF. Awards for 5K runners are based on chip time and include Top Overall Male/Female and male/female age-group awards for 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
