Event overview
The 21st Annual Run Through Time takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Salida, Colorado. The event includes the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 2 Mile run
- Kids’ 400 meter run
The marathon is open to ages 16 to 100. Registration opens November 1, 2025. There is a combined entry limit of 500 for the half and full marathon, split mostly evenly between the two events. The marathon has a 7.5 hour time limit and the half marathon has a 5 hour time limit. No crews or pacers are allowed. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female overall in each race and to the top three male and female in each 10-year age group. All registered runners receive custom race socks. A light hot meal will be available at the finish for contestants.
Course and logistics
Courses use dirt and jeep roads and narrow, hilly single-track trails. Elevations on course range from 7000 to 9000 feet. The race runs on the Arkansas Hills Trail System, Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service land, plus Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. The 2 Mile run follows the first two dirt road miles of the marathon and half marathon course. The free kids’ 400 meter run takes place in Riverside Park. Packet pickup, restrooms, the race finish, and post-race activities are at the Salida Scout Hut, 210 East Sackett Avenue, Salida, CO. Donations from race proceeds support Salida Mountain Trails and Chaffee County Search and Rescue-South; over the last 16 years more than $66,000 has been donated.
