Running of the Elves : A Very Merry Huntley Event
The event takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in downtown Huntley at the Square (Coral and Church Street). It includes multiple family-oriented runs and walks and is part of the Very Merry Huntley celebration with other downtown activities and a craft fair.

- Dash for Kids (about 1/2 mile, ages 5-12)
Registration, race items, and awards
Published registration fees list the 5K at $30.00, the 1 Mile Walk at $20.00, and the Dash for Kids at $10.00. All registered participants will receive the official race shirt and an Elf Hat; to be guaranteed a shirt and size, registration must be completed by October 25. Additional Elf hats are available for purchase for $10. The Dash awards 1st to 3rd place combined for boys and girls. The 5K has male and female awards in age groups: 12 & under, 13-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65 & over. Proceeds from the event support the local community and scholarships for Huntley students. Sponsorship levels and benefits are available through the event organizer.
