About the race
The Run/Walk To Save a Life 5K is held in Hamden, Connecticut, at the Multisports Academy. This event honors Christopher Andreozzi, who died from sudden cardiac death due to arrhythmia. The 5K race supports two causes: half of the proceeds go to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, reflecting Chris's dedication to mental health care, and the other half supports Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) research and education.
The race promotes life-saving skills, with healthcare workers on site to teach CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). It offers a meaningful community atmosphere focused on awareness and prevention. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
