Event information
Rylie’s Smile Turkey Escape 5k & 1m is scheduled for November 27, 2025, on Thanksgiving morning in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The main venue is Thompson Island Brewing Company on Veterans Way. The event raises funds for Rylie’s Smile Foundation; proceeds support children with severe lifelong or terminal diagnoses. Packet pick-up and pre-race live music are held the day before at Thompson Island Brewing Company's beer garden. No dogs are allowed, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable.

- 5K - run/walk
- 1 Mile - non-competitive walk
- Competitive Walking 5K - walkers only
- Student 5K - 18 and under
- Kiddie K - 9 and under
All pre-registered participants receive a cotton long-sleeve race shirt while supplies last; a race souvenir is included for each registrant. Pre-race coffee and snacks are provided. Post-race refreshments are provided by the American Legion, and beer and seltzers are available for those 21 and older. A drone footage booth will capture race groups and a 50/50 raffle follows the 5k. Timing uses MYLAPS BibTag chip timing by R2R Timing; overall and masters winners are scored by gun time while other age groups use chip (net) time. Results and photos are posted online after the event. Awards include gift cards for overall and masters winners, medals for age-group top three, walker awards, and a team award.
