Event overview
The Saint Marys Lake Trail Series is scheduled for February 28, 2026 in Leonardtown, MD at the Saint Marys Lake area on Camp Cosoma Road. The event offers three distances:

- 34K
- 17K
The series uses a roughly 10.5 mile loop run as one lap. Participants may complete one, two, or three laps to cover the different distances. The event is limited to 100 participants across all races. A GPX route file is provided for navigation.
Course and logistics
The route follows the lake perimeter and enters Salem Forest. Trail surface is about 75% single track (dirt, roots, rock, wooden bridges), 20% forest road, and 5% crushed gravel along the dam. Each lap has approximately 500 ft of total elevation gain and loss. Trail markings will be present and some mud or wet sections may occur depending on conditions. The trail remains open to the general public during the event; mountain bikers, walkers, leashed pets, and horseback riders may share the trails.
The main aid station is at the park entrance / start area on Camp Cosoma Road and will be staffed with warm food and drink. A second aid station is near the Salem Forest parking on Indian Bridge Road with food, drink, and a porta potty; drop bags may be delivered but may not be staffed continuously. Day use charges apply at the automated park entrance: $3 per vehicle for Maryland residents, with an additional $2 for out-of-state vehicles.
