About the race
The LewisGale Salem Half Marathon, 8K and Kids Fun Run in Salem, Virginia, starts and finishes at the Salem Farmers Market in downtown. The event includes four in-person races: the LewisGale Salem Half Marathon, Virginia's Blue Ridge 8K, and G&H Contracting Kids Fun Run -1 mile and -2 miles, plus virtual options. Runners enjoy a scenic course through Salem neighborhoods, past Roanoke College, and the downtown business district.
Hosted by Blue Ridge Racing, the weekend emphasizes a championship-city atmosphere. A highlight is the Virginia's Blue Ridge Triple Crown medal for completing linked Blue Ridge races in the same year, plus a Triple Crown Sprint Series. 10th Anniversary hoodies are available.
