The San Antonio New Years Eve 5k takes place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. The event includes the following race options:
- 5k (open to ages 13 - 99)
- 12 and under 5k (open to ages 5 - 12)
- Virtual 5k
Entry fees shown on the event page include amounts of $35 and $50 for the adult 5k, $15 and $35 for the 12-and-under 5k, and $50 for the virtual 5k. The 5k page notes a price increase after November 30, 2025, and the 12-and-under price increases after December 1, 2025. Virtual registration closes on December 31, 2025 at 12:56pm CST. This is a timed event. Organizers list giveaways and competitions for runners and teams. All registered runners receive a New Years clock medal. The first 100 adult registrants receive a 1/4 zip jacket upgrade; remaining adult registrants receive a long sleeve shirt.
Location, packet pick up and course
Primary race location is given as 5102 Old Pearsall Rd, San Antonio, TX 78242. Packet pick up is at the race location on race day only; it begins at 4:30 and finishes at 6:00 on December 31. Participants are asked to park in the main Pearsall Park parking lot and jog or walk to warm up to the finish line. A course map is available via MapMyRun.
