The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Stampede is a charity run/walk held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in downtown San Antonio at Milam Park (201 W. Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78207). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Virtual Run
- 1-Mile Walk (No Chip Time)
Proceeds support the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. The Stampede is scheduled as part of the Western Heritage Weekend and follows the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive through downtown and the River Walk.
Logistics, registration and awards
Web registration closes on February 6, 2026. Onsite late registration and packet pick-up are available at the event site under tents on race day, and earlier packet pick-up is listed at local locations in the days before the event. Parking is offered at the Cattleman's Square lot on a first-come, first-served basis; space is limited. Strollers are allowed; animals other than service dogs are not encouraged. The event policy states no refunds.
Age-category awards are given for male and female winners across standard age groups from 0-9 up to 80-99. Overall male and female winners and masters (age 40 and up) receive trophies and gift certificates, and winners are noted to ride in the Western Heritage Parade behind a banner as Stampede champions. The virtual run allows participants to complete a 5K remotely and submit results and photos; race kits may be mailed to virtual participants.
