About the race
The Sandhills Flyers 5K is a trail-oriented race hosted on the Sandhills Community College campus in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The 5K course starts on campus and winds through the Southern Pines Reservoir Park, and is officially certified by USATF (Certificate #NC22019BDS) with timing provided by Gate City Timing. The event features a pre-race warm-up, post-race massages from the SCC Therapeutic Massage program, a Freshly Picked Juice & Smoothie Bar, fitness and wellness vendors, and a dog-friendly atmosphere.
After the race, Sandhills Flyers Volleyball matches are played. Packet pickup is in Southern Pines, with onsite registration the morning of the race. A community-focused, scenic day for runners and supporters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
