Proceeds support the Bozeman Schools Foundation. Stated uses include scholarships for graduating seniors, gifting a book to every first grader, early literacy programs (Bozeman Reads), Spark Grants for classrooms, educator recognition, supplying school items to families in need, and grants for STEM and music education.
Prizes and awards include age-group prizes, cash and prizes for the top three male and female finishers, $500 each to the top two BSD7 school-sponsored clubs or teams, and $1,000 each to PACs of the top three participating schools in the Gallatin Valley. Additional prizes are noted for tagging the YETI. The organizer may convert the race to a virtual-only event or cancel in extreme weather. No refunds on registration fees.
