Save the Manatee 5K : Overview
The Save the Manatee 5K is the 22nd annual run/walk scheduled for November 15, 2025, at Blue Spring State Park in Orange City, Florida. This is the first year the in-person event will be held in Florida. The event aims to raise awareness and funds to protect imperiled manatees and their aquatic habitat and lists about 1,600 participants from around the world.
Event details
The event offers an in-person 5K run/walk and several virtual 5K options for domestic and international participants. In-person registration includes a T-shirt, finisher medal and race bib; premium in-person registration adds socks and a decal. Virtual options include a T-shirt, finisher medal, bib and shipping for paid entries, and a registration-only virtual option without swag.
Packet pick-up is available November 10–14 and will also be available on race day. The course starts and finishes at Blue Spring State Park and follows the Spring-to-Spring Trail adjacent to the park. Park admission is included with registration. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and first through third in each age group. Participants 12 and under receive a small stuffed manatee at the in-person event. Timing uses a disposable chip on the bib and results are posted online. Proceeds support Save the Manatee Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
