Course, rules and logistics
The full marathon, marathon relay, and half marathon are held as prediction runs, where entrants predict their finish so they complete the course as close as possible to the event's target finish time without going past it. Headlamps are required for the prediction runs, recommended for the 6.55 mile, and not required for the 2 mile. The course is marked with cones, turn arrows, and glowsticks (approximately every 5-10 feet); green glowsticks indicate the correct path on the right, red indicate hazards.
Packet pickup is available Friday at RC Outfitters (311 SW Water Street, Peoria) and Saturday at Lower Glen Oak Park; packet pickup closes at 6:00pm. Water, lemon-lime Gatorade, and GU Energy Gels are provided at the cemetery aid station (not available to the 2 mile). Finishers of the 6.55 mile, half, full, and relay receive finisher medals; all runners receive a long-sleeve race shirt, and half/full participants also receive a Yellow Bear quarter zip. Parking is listed at Woodruff Career & Technical Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
