Event details
The Seaside Shuffle is a road race held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Wrightsville Beach Park in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The event, presented by the Wilmington Road Runners Club, features a 5K road race. The course is flat. The race is open to all runners and local students and their families are specifically encouraged to participate. Registration fees are $35 for adults and $20 for participants under 18; the youth rate does not include a race shirt. Registration includes a race shirt while supplies last and post-race coffee and breakfast. The event is described as a longstanding Wilmington race with a history of 42 years.
Awards and charity
Awards include handcrafted trophies for top finishers and team results: Largest Team Award, Top 3 overall male and female, Top 3 masters overall male and female, three-deep male and female age divisions from under 10 up to 70+, and Fastest Team Awards. Proceeds from the race benefit the Wilmington Roadrunners Scholarship Program. Since 2015 the scholarship program has awarded $30,000 in scholarships to high school seniors from New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties. Volunteers support race operations.
