About the race
The Service and Sacrifice Half Marathon and 5k is a scenic running event held in Georgetown, Washington, DC, near the Nation’s Capital. Both races take place along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, featuring a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation changes, ideal for runners of all levels. Walkers and strollers are welcome, and a virtual race option is available.
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, technical event shirt, and chip timing. The event supports Hope Multiplied, a nonprofit addressing community needs in the DC Metro area. Water stations, age group awards, and live race results enhance the race experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
