Shallowater Stampede
The Shallowater Stampede is an annual running event held in September at Shallowater High School in Shallowater, Texas. Established in 1988 to remember Larry Byrd, the event features two out-and-back courses: a 2-mile run/walk for participants aged 7 and older, and a 10K run for those 13 and above. The race offers a friendly atmosphere suitable for families and competitive runners alike.
While race day registration is not available, participants can register in advance. Although the event does not provide race shirts, Shallowater PA offers shirts for sale. The Stampede is a community-focused event celebrating fitness and remembrance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
