Shallowater Stampede

The Shallowater Stampede is an annual running event held in Shallowater, Texas, since 1988, honoring the memory of Larry Byrd. The event features two race options: a 2-mile run/walk for participants aged 7 and older, and a 10K run for those aged 13 and above. Both courses are designed as out-and-back routes, starting at Shallowater High School.

Participants can enjoy a community-focused atmosphere, with entry fees set at $8 for WTRC members and non-member kids, and $20 for non-members.
