About the race
Shawnee Hills Trail Races take place at Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, Illinois, inside Shawnee National Forest. The event offers 100 Mile, 100K, 50K, Half Marathon, and a Night 50K, with pacers permitted for the 100-mile and 100K distances only. The course is a figure-eight loop, about 80% single-track dirt trails, highly technical and hilly, with rock, roots, and creek crossings and a total climb of thousands of feet over the long distances.
Runners explore sandstone canyons and pass waterfalls such as Pakentuck, Jackson, Horseshoe, and Cedar Falls, with views from Salomon’s Ridge. Five staffed aid stations and included lodging in Camp Ondessonk tree houses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
