Old Port Half Marathon & 5K : Overview
The Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Portland, Maine on June 6, 2026. The event starts and finishes between Spring Street and Union Street in the historic Old Port neighborhood. The half marathon is a single-loop course that passes Casco Bay and finishes in the Old Port district. The 5K is a single-loop course closed to traffic; it climbs about 75 feet in the first mile to the course high point, then descends to sea level along Portland’s waterfront.

Packet pickup is offered at Stevens Square Community Center in Portland on the two days prior to the race; there is no race-day packet pickup. Packet mailing is available if added by May 17, 2026. Gear check is provided; only clear bags are accepted and all gear must be claimed by 12:00 PM. Roads in Portland will be temporarily closed during the event; participants are advised to use nearby parking lots or garages and avoid designated no-parking areas. Pacer groups are provided for the half marathon with target times from 1:30 to 3:00 (in 10-minute increments). Post-race activities include a block-party style after party with snacks, complimentary beer or hard seltzer for those 21+, and live music.
