About the race
Silver Comet Races stage running events along the Silver Comet Trail just outside Atlanta in Mableton, Georgia. The program features the Silver Comet Half Marathon and Full Marathon, held annually on the last Saturday of October. The marathon is a Boston Qualifier and both distances are USATF-certified, described as flat and fast with an out-and-back course on the scenic Silver Comet Trail.
The races are positioned as grass-roots events suitable for first-timers aiming for PRs and for competitive runners seeking fast times.
