Silver Comet Races

Silver Comet Races organize USATF-certified running events along the Silver Comet Trail just outside Atlanta in Mableton, Georgia. The program features a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and a Full Marathon (26.2 miles) held on the last Saturday of October; the marathon is a Boston Qualifier. Courses are flat and fast, described as scenic out-and-back routes ideal for first-timers and PR seekers within a grassroots, community atmosphere.

The Trail also hosts the Silver Comet 10K in March, a point-to-point race from Floyd Road in Mableton to the trailhead in Smyrna, touted as one of the fastest 10Ks in the Atlanta metro area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
