About the race
Silverheels Trail Runs is a multi-distance mountain ultramarathon series in Colorado, produced by the Human Potential Running Series. The 12th annual event centers at the Como Roundhouse in Como, with longer distances starting at Burning Bear Trailhead near Grant. Distances include 100-Mile, 100k, 50-Mile, 60k, 19-Mile, and 10-Mile.
The course blends single-track trails, fire roads, and some dirt roads, climbing to elevations around 10,000 feet. Runners traverse high alpine and sub-alpine meadows with wildflowers, sweeping views of the South Park Valley, and sightlines to nearby 14ers, ghost towns, and old mines. The event emphasizes scenery, community, aid stations, camping, and environmental respect; finishers receive buckles or medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
