Course and logistics
Each loop starts and finishes at the pavilion inside the park. The park contains 30+ miles of trails, including carriage roads and technical singletrack. The 25K loop includes more than 3,000 feet of vertical gain. Course highlights include about 5 miles of mostly runnable rolling singletrack, a steep rock scramble climb of 500+ feet in 0.3 miles, the Chestnut Trailhead aid station near mile 8 (and again near mile 12), an ascent on the Quinnipiac (Blue Trail) to the Observation Tower, a 1.5 mile carriage-road descent on the Tower Path, and a short paved approach back to the pavilion.
Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, and typical food items; the race follows a cupless policy, so participants must carry their own hydration containers. Course GPX is available. Parking is available inside the park and on the north side of Mount Carmel Avenue. Swag includes a finisher medal and awards for top three overall male and female finishers in each event.
