Sleeping Giant Trail Runs

Website

The Sleeping Giant Trail Runs, held at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, Connecticut, is a challenging trail running event known as one of the toughest in the Northeast. The race offers two distances: a 25K loop with over 3,000 feet of vertical gain and a 50K option consisting of two loops. The course features a variety of terrain, including smooth carriage roads, technical rocky singletrack, steep rock scrambles, and rolling trails.

Runners experience iconic trails such as the Yellow, White, and Quinnipiac (Blue) Trails, culminating at the park's Observation Tower. The event emphasizes sustainability with a "cupless" policy and provides aid stations, finisher medals, and post-race food and beverages.
