Small Town Christmas 34 Hour is scheduled for December 6, 2025 in Valley, AL at the Shawmut Airport area. The race runs for 34 hours on a continuous 2 mile loop along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The event is presented as an ultrarunning format with the loop repeated for elapsed-time competition.
The event is linked to a local holiday tradition: proceeds will help support a free carousel program in the town that is maintained largely through donations after the closure of local textile mills. The organizer also runs a spring event at this location. In the first year this event recorded several 100-mile finishes, several distance personal records, and a world record-tying result of 50 100-mile finishes in a year.
Awards and registration
Each runner registered by the t-shirt deadline of 11/25/2025 will receive an event t-shirt. All finishers receive a unique finisher award.
