SMHS Makin' Hay 10K

The SMHS Makin' Hay 10K & 5K is a scenic running event held at Catoctin Creek Park and Nature Center in Middletown, Maryland. Scheduled for April 18, 2026, it features challenging yet picturesque courses through Frederick County farmland. Runners traverse gravel roads along Catoctin Creek, crossing historic one-lane wooden deck bridges.

The 10K is a rolling course, while the 5K offers a shorter, paved route with half the elevation change and sweeping vistas.
