The Smith Rock Classic takes place at Skull Hollow near Terrebonne, Oregon. The event offers the following distances:

Registration opens November 1, 2025. Prices vary by date window: 50 Mile ($155 to $185), 50K ($130 to $160), 10 Mile ($75 to $95). Accommodation partner SCP Redmond is located about 10 miles from Smith Rock State Park. The nearest airport is Redmond; Portland is about 2.5 hours away.
Courses, aid, and event policies
All courses start and finish at Skull Hollow and include trails in Smith Rock State Park and the Crooked River Grasslands. The 10 Mile route climbs Gray Butte, includes one aid station at about mile 2.8, totals about 2200 ft of gain and loss, and is roughly 50% single track and 50% dirt road. The 50K covers about 4500 ft of gain and loss, is about 80% single-track and 20% gravel road, and includes four full aid stations. The 50 Mile is two 25-mile loops with about 7500 ft of gain and loss, about 80% single-track and 20% gravel road, and includes eight full aid stations plus one minimal aid station.
Check in and bib pickup occur race morning at Skull Hollow. A post-race burrito bar will be provided and beer from listed partners will be available. All finishers receive a custom award; top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes. The event beneficiary is the Ridgeview High School cross country team. Refund and transfer rules: no transfers; cancellations more than 30 days out may receive a 50% credit for the following year; cancellations 30 days or less receive no credit or refund.
