Solar Strides 5K : event overview
The Solar Strides 5K is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025, on the University of North Carolina campus. This is the second edition of the event and it is a fundraiser for SolarEquity, a student-run non-profit that supports solar installations for low-income communities in North Carolina. The event lists partners including the Environmental Affairs Department of the UNC-Chapel Hill Undergraduate Student Government, Campus Recreation, and Fleet Feet. Food is provided by sponsors after the race.
