Sole Survivor Backyard Ultra - Richland, WA

Website Registration

The Sole Survivor Backyard Ultra in Richland, Washington, is a unique endurance trail running event inspired by Big's Backyard Ultra. Held at 1200 Carrier Rd., the race challenges participants to complete a 4.16-mile loop every hour on the hour until only one runner remains. The course features a mix of trail and a short out-and-back pavement section to ensure precise distance and single-file running.

Runners have the time between loops to rest, eat, or tend to their needs but must start each loop on time. The event fosters a supportive atmosphere with an aid station, BBQ, and camping options. Those reaching 100 miles earn a custom belt buckle, and the winner may qualify for the world championship event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
