The Whitewater Trail Challenge takes place in Whitewater, WI on June 20, 2026. Distances offered are:

The venue uses Rice Lake Nature Trail near the town of Whitewater. The setting is summer with an average temperature of 19ºC / 67ºF and an average altitude of 275 meters / 900 feet. The nearest major airport is Milwaukee Mitchell International (MKE). The trail type is described as rolling hills on well established trails.
Course and logistics
The course follows a scenic portion of the Ice Age Trail and is an out-and-back from Rice Lake. Trail conditions vary from smooth and well maintained to very technical, and the footing can change quickly. Course maps and elevation profiles for each distance are available for the event. For the 50K, runners must carry at least 1 liter of water capacity. Intermediate race cutoffs are safety-based and will be indicated by race staff and volunteers.
