Sportspectrum Firecracker 5k Race

The Sportspectrum Firecracker 5k Race for Research is an annual event held in Shreveport, Louisiana, celebrating its 41st anniversary in 2025. The race starts and finishes at Mall St. Vincent and features a scenic and challenging 5K course through the historic South Highland Subdivision, one of Shreveport’s oldest neighborhoods.

The event includes a 5K run/walk and a Kids Fun Run for ages 1-10, with finishers receiving medals and official race shirts. Sponsored by the Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation, the race supports spine research.
