Event overview
Spring Fling - Austin is set for April 18, 2026, in the Del Valle, TX (TBD Austin Area). The event is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and offers in-person and virtual options. Course surfaces include mixed terrain: pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Races take place in public parks, greenbelts, and roads, where participants may encounter other park users such as dog walkers and families with strollers. Shirts are guaranteed if ordered at least 10 days before race day. Races proceed in all weather conditions.
Events, awards and volunteer options
Distances include a Kids Dash, 1 mile, 5K and 10K, plus a virtual run and a "Volunteer then Run" 5K option. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed and offer awards: 1st overall male/female receive a trophy, 1st Masters (40+) receive a recognition pin, and standard age group awards are given. Age groups start at 10 & under and go through 70+. Youth pricing allows 12 & under to enter the 5K or 10K for $15. Volunteer roles are available, including a "Volunteer then Run" option limited to the first sign-ups, full race volunteer roles with shirts and VIP access, and positions such as water station, course monitor, finish line helper, lead bike, sweeper, and mascot.
