About the race
The Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot is an annual fundraising running event held in downtown Statesboro, Georgia, centered around the historic Bulloch County Courthouse Square. The event features a 5K run, team competitions, and a 12 & under fun run, welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, including strollers and leashed dogs. Participants are encouraged to wear team-themed shirts or Thanksgiving costumes, creating a festive atmosphere.
The course runs through Statesboro's historic retail and residential neighborhoods. Proceeds support the Bulloch County Foundation for Public School Education, funding teacher grants, scholarships, and local education programs.
