Event
The STEVE 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026. It is the 6th annual event presented by the Center for Abused Persons. The event includes the following race categories: 5K Run or Walk, 5K Run or Walk 55+, Virtual 5K, Virtual 5K 55+, and 5K 12 & Under. Age eligibility is listed for each category; for example, the in-person 5K is open to ages 13 to 54 and the 55+ category is open to ages 55 and older. The event aims to raise awareness and funds to address domestic and sexual violence, and proceeds go to victims of abuse. Pre-registered participants are eligible to receive an event t-shirt if registered by March 29.
Course and logistics
The race location is 10400 Theodore Green Blvd, White Plains, MD 20695, on the Indian Head Rail Trail. The course is an out-and-back on a paved trail. Parking is available at the race site. The event is professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing. Donation options and additional organizational information are provided by the Center for Abused Persons.
