Event overview
The Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race is presented by the Annapolis Striders at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The event offers two distances:
- 50K
- 20K
The race is limited to 250 participants. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, plus top male and top female military (active or retired). The race has time limits of eight hours for the 50K and seven hours for the 20K.
Course, logistics and rules
Both courses use the 9.5-mile single-track perimeter trail and the pavilion area for Start/Finish and packet pickup on race morning. The 50K is roughly 3.25 loops of the 9.5-mile trail and the 20K is roughly 1.25 loops. The 50K has about 2,600 feet of total elevation gain. The route is mostly in deep woods on largely buffed single track, with rolling hills and natural trail hazards such as roots and rocks. The course is marked with white pie plates and white confidence ribbons. There are two aid stations and a drop bag area close to the pavilion that will be accessible at roughly the 5k, 20k, and 35k points for the 50K.
Rules include no headphones, no pets, and no baby joggers. Pacers are permitted on the third loop but must be on foot. Parking is covered by race registration.
