The Strawberry Shortcake 5K takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Bloomington, IN, at Switchyard Park (1601 S. Rogers Street, 47404). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- VIRTUAL 5K
Registration opens March 7, 2026. Entry fee for each event is $30. T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants who register before May 26; after that date shirts are available by remaining sizes. The event is organized by the Auxiliary to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington and supports local Clubs. The race is joining the Magnificent 7 Race Series, a group of 21 races across a seven-county area; individuals who complete at least seven series races in a year become eligible for series awards.
Course and logistics
Early packet pick up is scheduled at Binford Elementary on June 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Day-of registration and packet pick up will be at Switchyard Park from 8:00 to 9:00 am. The course runs through Switchyard Park, starting at the Pavilion, heading south toward Country Club Road, passing the playground and dog parks, turning at Country Club Road, continuing past Hopscotch Coffee, and finishing back at the Pavilion.
