Event overview
The Summits Trail Runs take place at Granby Ranch Resort in Granby, Colorado on June 6, 2026. The event is organized by Human Potential Running Series and has a combined runner capacity of 250. Time limits vary by event. Registration for 2026 opens December 1, 2025; online registration closes June 2, 2026. Race information notes that registrations after May 25, 2026 are not guaranteed a race shirt or finisher's award.

Courses run on single-track trails, alpine meadows, aspen groves, and other mountain terrain with varying elevation gain. The Elevation Challenge uses repeated loops on the East Peak; each loop is 1.92 miles with 832 feet ascent and 832 feet descent (1,664 feet total change). Aid stations are provided and noted as well stocked; the Elevation Challenge has an aid station at the top and another at the bottom of the loop. Drop bags are allowed at the Start/Finish aid station; some multi-loop events may use an additional aid station.
Spectators are allowed only at the start/finish area. Crews and pacers are permitted only for the Elevation Challenge, with a maximum of three crew members at one time. Camping near the Start/Finish is available with a reservation; fees and limited facilities apply. All events are held under permit with private landowners at Granby Ranch Resort.
