Superhero 5K - Alafaya

Event overview

The SUPERHERO 5K - Compassion in Action is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, on the University of Central Florida campus in Orlando, FL (4000 Central Florida Blvd, Memory Mall). The event is a 5K (3.1 miles). Proceeds benefit the Abilities Workshop and its LoveABLE program, which supports special needs families. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes. All participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher's medal, with shirts guaranteed for pre-registered participants before November 25, 2025.

Logistics and policies

The race will use electronic timing with a disposable transponder chip attached to the back of each bib; official times require the provided chip. Packet pickup: early pickup is to be determined and day-of packet pickup will be held at the UCF location on race day. Dogs and strollers are permitted; stroller users are asked to start toward the back of the field. Water stations are available on course and at the finish. Qualified emergency medical staff will be available at the start/finish area. Registration pricing shows an initial fee of $35, with a price increase after November 30, 2025; discount codes include SPECIALATHLETE15 and CAREGIVER30. The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds and no entry transfers. Free parking is available in Garage H at UCF.
