Event overview
The Tear Drop Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is the 12th annual running event set for Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Chatsworth, Georgia. The finish is at Chatsworth City Park. The event supports the Murray Arts Council, and a majority of race day volunteers will assist the organization. All finishers receive a long-sleeve T-shirt and a custom finisher medal; post-race hot food, cold drinks and a raffle are provided.

All courses start on top of Fort Mountain at an elevation near 3,000 feet and finish in Chatsworth, producing an over 2,000-foot drop for the half marathon. Courses are on paved roads and are USATF certified. The route includes 7 miles of 5-10% downhill for the half, 5 miles downhill for the 10K and 2 miles downhill for the 5K; the half also includes an out-and-back section on the mountain with several climbs. Aid stations, bathrooms and sports drinks are provided on course (half: five stations at Miles 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10; 10K: three stations; 5K: two stations). Participant limits are 300 for the half, 150 for the 10K and 100 for the 5K. The half marathon has a 3-hour time limit; time limits for the 10K and 5K are stated by the organizer.
