Event overview
The Tear Drop race weekend in Chatsworth, Georgia, on Sunday April 26, 2026, includes a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. All courses are USATF certified. Distances offered:

- 5K
All races start on top of Fort Mountain at an elevation near 3,000 feet and finish at Chatsworth City Park on N. 2nd Ave. The half marathon features an overall descent of more than 2,000 feet and an out-and-back section on the mountain that includes some climbs. The courses are entirely on paved roads and include long downhill sections: about 7 miles for the half, 5 miles for the 10K, and 2 miles for the 5K.
Course services and logistics
Runners park at the finish area and use shuttle buses to reach race start locations on Fort Mountain. Portable bathrooms are available at each start and at water stations. Water and bathroom stations:
- Half Marathon: 4 water stations at miles 4, 7, 10, 12 (portable toilets at stations)
- 10K: 2 water stations at miles 3, 5 (bathroom at start)
- 5K: 1 water station at mile 2 (bathroom at start)
There is a bag/clothing drop at each start; items placed before the race will be available near the finish. A SAG vehicle will follow the last runner and may transport participants who cannot maintain minimum pace. All finishers receive a custom medal and a short sleeve t-shirt. Age-group awards are given for each distance and overall plaques are awarded in the half marathon. The event partners with Murray Arts Council.
