The Aden Perry Hero Event 5k
The Aden Perry Hero Event 5k is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Sunrise, Florida. The event takes place at Markham Park, 16001 W State Rd 84, Sunrise, FL 33326. It is a 5-kilometer run/walk held to honor the life and legacy of Aden Perry and his Carnegie Hero Award.

Entry for the 5K is listed at $40, with the price increasing after October 30, 2025. The event collects school supplies to donate to students in need on December 11; participants who bring a bag of supplies receive a raffle ticket. A college scholarship will be awarded to the overall first-place runner in the 15-19 age group as part of the Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund.
The event features a chipped, timed 5K course at Markham Park, long-sleeved Dri-Wick race shirts, custom finisher medals for all participants, and winner medals for top finishers and age-group places. Additional on-site activities include a dog water and treat station with prizes for dogs, CPR demonstrations and training, live music and DJ, performances by local students and dance groups, a silent auction, raffles, food from named vendors, craft activities, and post-event refreshments.
