The Blazing 5k

The Blazing 5k and Mile is an annual running event held in Des Moines, Iowa, at Water Works Park. Known as the fastest 5k in the Midwest, the race features a USATF-certified, flat, and fast course that loops clockwise through scenic park areas, offering excellent spectator views. The event includes multiple races: an open 5k with no cutoff, elite male and female 5k races with time cutoffs, and an all-comer's mile.
